Decor Trends happening in 2023

Updated: Jan 11, 2023

Green designs continue and interiors are moving away from colors that feel too artificial. Colors become softer and more pleasing to the eye. Warm neutrals from the '90s are making a comeback. We will also see various shades of green: emerald, sage, and teal nuances.

Top trends for 2023 are outdoor-indoor mixes. and materials that feel good!

Here's what we'll see this year:

Sustainable furniture materials, are still important home trends in the 2023.

We will see an increase in eco-friendly materials and organic finishes in upcoming designs, from residential to commercial spaces.

Flow

A layout can make all the difference in an interior and free movement is essential for a positive atmosphere. Less is more, but not in the minimalistic sense. Instead, greater distances between zones and improved traffic flow are preferred.

A positive layout is one of the oriental-influenced interior design trends of 2023, such as Feng Shui, Wabi-Sabi, and Japandi aesthetics.

Wellness at home

Feeling comfortable at home is very important and nothing fits better to this than a little spa moment from time to time.

Even the smallest bathrooms can become a wellness oasis with little effort. For instance by cutting some garden herbs such as rosemarin, lavender, and eucalyptus for in the shower. The damps will provide a wonderful scent in the bathroom.

Indoor gardens and green

The desire for 'more green' continues too. As Indoor and outdoor living will get more connected, we bring nature into our homes by placing extremely large plants in our living rooms and using natural colors such as brown and green. Plants will not only complement your natural woods and warm browns, but they will also purify the air.

The workplace is redefined

No matter if this is at home or in the office, workplaces have been redefined. But now is the time to individualize workspaces. The office will contain elements that make work more pleasant. From furniture design to layout and indoor green, the workspace gets a cheerful makeover to increase its utilization and employee productivity. And working from home means customizing the interior to suit your exact needs.

Space is valuable

We absolutely need multifunctional homes this year. Bespoke interiors will cater to everyday activities, such as entertainment, wellness, and exercise. They bridge the gap created during the isolation many of us have come to know all too well. The number of home cinemas and game rooms, gyms, and saunas will surely increase.
